Meditation and visualization, morning workouts, warm hugs, and ending the day with gratitude. Walks, nourishing meals, and soaking up the sun.

Here’s the truth: my journey hasn’t always been this balanced or grounded. Life has thrown me a few serious curveballs. Think about those moments when you’re doing everything you can just to keep it all together – I know that feeling well.

Let’s start with one of the biggest challenges I faced. There was a time when, out of nowhere, I was suddenly left without a place to call home, without the stability I thought I could count on. It was a harsh wake-up call – but it also became a turning point. I had to choose: let this experience define me or build something stronger within myself. I chose the latter. I decided that if I had control over just one thing, it would be my own well-being.

Then there was the work grind. I’m talking about long, 12-hour days in a job that had me constantly on the go, rushing from one project to the next without a breath. I was exhausted, juggling deadlines and endless demands in a communication agency where “urgent” was practically the motto. But even during those relentless days, I held onto a little piece of my world where I felt like me. I leaned into my habits like lifelines, staying active, keeping up with my workouts, and giving my body the fuel it needed to keep going. This daily routine reminded me that I had strength and resilience, even in the face of constant pressure.

And then, of course, there’s love 💖. Relationships can be a beautiful part of life – but they can also break your heart. In one of my darkest moments, I found myself facing a reality I hadn’t expected: discovering that someone I cared deeply about had hidden parts of their life from me, leaving me to pick up the pieces. It was a painful blow, but it taught me a valuable lesson: circumstances may be outside of my control, but my inner peace, my strength, and my health are mine to protect.

Through all of it – the feeling of being on the outside, the endless workdays, and the heartbreak – people would ask, “Helena, how are you doing?” My answer was always the same: “I’m well 😊.” And it was true. Even when my world seemed chaotic, I felt grounded, thanks to a few non-negotiable habits that kept me connected to who I am.

My survival habits became my anchors. Exercise was (and still is) my ultimate go-to. Whether lifting weights or walking outside, physical activity gave me a sense of power and calm that nothing else could. It’s like therapy for my soul – and it reminds me of my resilience every single time. Good sleep and nourishing food kept my body and mind in check, even on days when everything else felt unpredictable. These weren’t just routines; they were acts of self-care that helped me stay connected to my strength.

So, WHY am I here? Because through these experiences, I realized that we all have the power to create lives that feel healthy, peaceful, and right – no matter what’s going on around us. My journey taught me that, and now, it’s what I’m here to share with you. If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed, stuck, or out of control, know that you’re not alone. I’ve been there, and I’ve come out stronger. I believe that with a few core habits, we can weather any storm and come out the other side with more peace, resilience, and self-trust than we ever thought possible.
